When you decide to leave the private world of the Jungle Cottage, you will find many attractions and activities within a 5 mile radius - shopping, restaurants, golf, eco-tours, hiking, beautiful beaches, a national wildlife refuge, botanical gardens, etc.
Five miles to the east is Kilauea, five miles to the west are Princeville and Hanalei. Beyond Hanalei is an 8 mile scenic drive to the end of the road. Along this drive are beaches, a botanical garden, small communities, and Haena State Park. This trip ends at Ke'e beach and the start of the rugged Na Pali coast, great for the adventurous hikers.
Of course, there is a lot to see and do on the rest of the Garden Isle, however, the North Shore tour below will focus on nearby points of interest.
